Welcome to SCSD#2 activities page.  We don’t mean to “blow our own horn,” but we are proud of the academic and athletic activities that are offered in our District. 

Our music program is second to none!  We offer a variety of programs including grades 1-12 orchestra classes, band, choir, and jazz.  We have several musical concerts throughout the year with a big musical production in the spring at our high school and a melodrama at our alternative schools. 

Our athletic department offers a variety of sports for both boys and girls throughout the year, including the following:

football                      basketball

volleyball                   wrestling

swimming                 track

golf                            soccer

tennis                        cross country

To participate in a school sport, a current physical is required.  The physical will be good for one year. 

We welcome your support for our students and thank you for your respect, proper behavior, and courtesies at all of the events.

Special Announcement:

Bronc 

 A project is under way to upgrade the playing field at Sheridan High School.  It includes covering the field with artificial turf, as well as some upgrades to the stadium itself.  If all goes well, the field should be ready at the beginning of the 2008-09 school year.  It is an exciting project and we are looking forward to its completion!
