Sheridan High School’s first semester is quickly drawing to a close and students are preparing for final exams. Finals exams will be held this Wednesday and Thursday with an alternate schedule, click here to view. Periods 1, 3, 5, and 7 will be held on Wednesday and periods 2, 4, and 6 on Thursday, each 92 minutes long. After the final class on Thursday, the students will be released at 1:53pm. If your student rides the bus, they will be running at 3:35 pm like normal. Friday there is no school for the students, it is a teacher in-service day.
Ninth grade students typically have a separate lunch and are not allowed to leave campus. Due to the alternate schedule and a combined lunch, 9th graders will be allowed to leave campus Wednesday and Thursday. When the new semester begins on Monday the 25th they will again have a separate lunch and a closed campus.
Ninth grade students enrolled in a study hall class do need to attend the class and study for their finals. Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors enrolled in a study hall class do not need to attend study hall, but can if they’d like to study for their exams.
Please encourage your students to prepare for finals and visit with their teachers if they have any questions. It has been a wonderful first semester and we look forward to the second.
