Sheridan County Students Take Advantage of Early College Offerings

Sheridan High School students have had the opportunity to take advantage of dual enrollment with Sheridan College for several years, but the practice is gaining popularity.  More than 100 local students are enrolled in the classes, giving them the opportunity to slowly work their way into the college experience, and take general studies courses.  This easing into the college experience allows student to get a glimpse of the rigor, responsibility, and opportunity of college classes.  Another advantage to dual enrollment is the lack of expense for high school students.  The college pays their tuition and SHS pays for the cost of textbooks.  For more information, please view the original article in its entirety at the following link
