Sheridan Junior High School Library
Library Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am til 4:30 pm
At Sheridan Junior High School Library, our goal is to ensure that students have access to a wide variety of excellent, up-to-date, and age-appropriate literature to meet their reading needs. We want to ensure each of our students become competent, critical, and ethical users of information. It is our mission to prepare lifelong learners and "information literate" citizens who are able to determine their information needs, recognize relevant information, solve problems and effectively communicate the results of their research.
Accelerated Reading Program
Our school uses the Accelerated Reader (AR) Program as a supplement to our reading curriculum. AR is a computer-based program with a series of comprehension-based questions pertaining to books students read. Reading and English teachers set AR reading expectations with students, who then select AR books from our library. Please contact Mrs. Weitz with any questions pertaining to the AR program.
