The Story Library had many fun activities this month to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. All students in the 2nd -5th grade at Story School received a free copy of the book! This was just one of many activities that used fun to foster reading, critical thinking and other skills.
Additionally, golden tickets were hidden throughout the library for children to find as they checked out books. As they found golden tickets, they received a prize.
The Story Kid’s Club was able to participate in all of the great activities, too. Jo Elliot, the librarian, came to Story School and helped the children invent something new.
Among other activities was a game of Wonka Bingo, which used many funny words from Roald Dahl. Thanks to Story Library for including our students in the fun!
