Student Led Conferences

Student Led Conferences
by Simon Tengesdal

As most of you know, instead of the normal parent teacher conferences we did student led conferences. A student led conference is exactly what it sounds like, the student is leading the conference. The fourth graders prepared for this by writing a reflective piece to share with their families. Some of the topics were strengths and weaknesses, behavior, and things the students need to work on. Finally as you can see, student led conferences are much better for the students than the normal parent teacher conferences. This is because most kids think that conferences are a time when the teacher is going to get them in trouble. While in this case the teacher will only jump in if the student is lying. It is our responsibility to be truthful about our learning.
