From July 22-July 24, 2015, Sheridan County School District #2 held the summer institute: "Advancing Student Success through Professional Learning Communities." The first annual institute was an outstanding success. With approximately three hundred and fifty people in attendance, School District #2 showcased their teaching methods and highlighted how collaboration between colleagues creates an atmosphere for professional development. The district partnered with the University of Wyoming, who added two College of Education faculty, doing breakout sessions, and the new College of Education Dean, Dr. Ray Reutzel, giving the closing keynote presentation. Thank you to the staff of the district for all of your hard work, and a special thank you to Sheridan College for hosting the institute. We can't wait to plan next summer's institute!
